Getting your feet wet Family activities

As well as a favourite place to relax whilst on holiday, the beach is also many species’ natural habitat!

This activity is therefore an opportunity to use all our five senses to discover the beach’s wealth of hidden treasures. By means of simple games, the children become aware of the need to preserve this particular environment.

Studying the shoreline, amongst other features, is an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of this environment. Certain clues indicate the presence of humans… There’s no doubt about it, plastic belongs in the bin! We will find many treasures here: shells, cuttlefish bones and even balls of Neptune grass, all of which are evidence of what is happening underwater!

And you don’t need to go diving to discover this underwater world. Accompanied by their parents and one of the Domaine du Rayol’s guides, children can follow the rocky coastline and meet all its inhabitants: sea urchins and anemones, hermit crabs, winkles, etc.

Aimed at families with children aged 4 -12, this activity does not require the ability to swim.
